Privacy Policy
Last updated 21 July 2026
This policy explains what VuStory (“we”, “us”) collects when you use the app, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions: hello@vustory.com.
What we collect
- Account — your email address and basic profile, received from Google when you sign in. We don’t see or store your Google password.
- Content you provide — story premises, scripts and prose you write, and any audio you upload (including voice recordings) to build a video from.
- Generated media — the images, narration, and videos VuStory produces for you.
- Usage & technical data — activity logs (which we use to show your progress and diagnose failures) and standard request/server logs.
How we use it
To provide the service — generating and storing your videos, showing your activity, enforcing plan limits, and (when billing is live) processing payments — and to keep the service secure and working. We do not sell your personal data or use your content to train our own models.
Who we share it with (processors)
To run the service we pass data to these providers, only as needed:
- Google — sign-in, and Gemini models used for text and image generation.
- OpenAI — script generation, text-to-speech, and transcription of uploaded narration.
- Higgsfield — character-consistent image generation (when enabled).
- Vercel — application hosting and media (blob) storage.
- Neon — the Postgres database that stores your account and story data.
- simplepostr — only if you choose to publish to social accounts; it receives the finished video and the caption you set.
Retention & deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete an individual story at any time, which removes its media. You can delete your entire account from Settings → Delete account; this permanently erases your stories, generated media, and activity history from our systems. Note that content you already published to third-party platforms (e.g. via simplepostr) is governed by those platforms.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including the EU/UK under GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise deletion yourself in Settings, or email us for anything else. We store data in the United States and the EU via the providers above.
Cookies
We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. We don’t use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Changes
We’ll update this page and the “last updated” date when this policy changes.
